how to share your location from an Android phone

 

📱Method 1: Share Location Using Google Maps (Most Reliable)

  1. Open Google Maps on your Android phone.

  2. Tap on your profile icon (top right).

  3. Select Location Sharing.

  4. Tap “Share location” and choose:

    • Time duration (e.g., 1 hour, Until you turn this off).

    • Person to share with (from your contacts) or

    • Tap “Copy to clipboard” to generate a link.

  5. Send the link via WhatsApp, SMS, or email.

📱 Method 2: Share via WhatsApp

  1. Open a WhatsApp chat.

  2. Tap the paperclip icon > Location.

  3. Choose “Send your current location” or “Live location” (updates in real time for up to 8 hours).

✉️ Method 3: Share via SMS or Any App

  1. Open Google Maps.

  2. Tap the blue dot (your location).

  3. Tap “Share your location”.

  4. Choose any app (Messages, Telegram, Facebook, etc.) and send the generated link.

⚙️ Make Sure Location is On
